Heading to the Calgary Stampede to take in the rodeo and see what it feels like to get down 'n' dirty and party like a cowboy?
Here are some terms you might want to freshen up on so you don’t sound like a fool when you’re half drunk and trying to make the moves on a thoroughbred cowboy/girl.
Bang-up - first rate. "They did a bang-up job."

Coot - An idiot, simpleton, a ninny.

Eucher, euchered - to out-smart someone, to be outwitted or suckered into something.
Fork a Hoss - To ride a horse.
Full as a tick - very drunk.
The Go - The mode, the fashion. “This is all the go.”'
Goney - A stupid fellow.
Groggery - A bar or saloon.
Ho Down - A party or celebration
Jackpot - Dangerous situation
Mad as a Hornet - Very mad.
Pony up - hurry up! - Pay over money
Paintin' His Nose - Getting drunk.
Pirooting - Having sexual intercourse.
Quincy - An indoor toilet.
Roostered - drunk. "Looks like those cowboys are in there gettin' all roostered up."

Sage Hen - A woman.
Salty - Fiesty
Shin - Borrow money.
Shindig - A dance, party, celebration.
Shuck Off - Take clothes off.
Soaked - Drunk.
Spooney - A stupid or silly fellow, also a disgusting drunk.
Whaler - A big, strapping fellow.
Yack - A stupid person.
